What is Minimum Connection Time (MCT)?
Minimum Connection Time is the shortest time an airline considers adequate to make a connection at a particular airport. MCTs vary based on whether you're connecting between domestic or international flights and whether a terminal change is required.
Airlines typically will not book you on a connection shorter than the MCT. However, even meeting the MCT doesn't guarantee you'll make your flight β delays, long immigration lines, or a slow aircraft are all risks. Adding a buffer is always wise.
Note: These times are approximate guidelines. Always check the specific airline and airport for current official MCTs, especially for international connections requiring customs and immigration clearance.
