Email Preheader Best Practices

The preheader (preview text) is the short text shown after your subject line in inbox views. It's your second chance to convince recipients to open your email. Aim for 40–130 characters β€” enough to be meaningful on desktop without being cut off on mobile.

Common mistake: leaving the preheader blank, which causes email clients to pull the first text from your email body (often "View in browser" or "To unsubscribe…"). Always set a custom preheader.
