How Amazon FBA Fees Work
Amazon charges two main fees for FBA sellers: a fulfillment fee based on size tier, and a referral fee (commission) based on category.
Size tiers:
- Small Standard: ≤ 15 oz, ≤ 9×6×0.75" — $3.22 flat fee
- Large Standard: ≤ 20 lbs, ≤ 18×14×8" — $4.75–$12.00 scaled by weight
- Large Bulky: ≤ 50 lbs — $9.73 base + $0.42 per lb over 1 lb
Referral fees range from 8% (Electronics, Health, Sports) to 17% (Clothing). They are deducted from the selling price before you receive payment.
Hazmat (dangerous goods) items incur additional surcharges and may require special handling programs.
