Why Multi-Channel Sequences Work

Most deals require 8+ touchpoints. Studies consistently show that the majority of sales happen after the 5th contact. A single email or call rarely gets a response — a structured sequence does.

Channel diversity beats channel depth. Sending 7 emails is less effective than mixing email, LinkedIn, and phone. Different channels reach people at different times and contexts, each with its own "freshness" effect.

Spacing matters. Too fast looks desperate; too slow loses momentum. The 1-3-6-9-13-17-21 day spacing balances urgency with respect for the prospect's time.

The breakup email works. Counter-intuitively, a polite "closing your file" email on the last touch often gets the highest reply rate of the entire sequence. It creates a low-stakes final opportunity to respond.

Personalize each touch. Even templated sequences perform better when each step references something specific — a company announcement, a role change, or a shared interest.
