🪟 What light do I have?

📱 Measure lux with your phone: Download a free lux meter app. Take readings at different times of day — overcast mornings can be 10× dimmer than a sunny afternoon. Plants need consistent light, not just peak conditions.
🌿 Signs of insufficient light: Leggy growth (long stems reaching towards light), pale/yellowing leaves, slow growth even in growing season, variegated plants losing their patterns. These are all signs to move the plant closer to a window or add a grow light.
💡 Grow lights: If you love plants but have dark rooms, LED grow lights have transformed what's possible. A 20–40W full-spectrum LED hung 30–60cm above plants for 12–16 hours/day can replicate bright indirect light almost anywhere.
