Social Media Image Sizes (2025)
Image sizes vary by platform and placement. For Open Graph / link previews, use 1200×630px (1.91:1). For Instagram feed, square (1:1) and portrait (4:5) get more screen space than landscape. YouTube thumbnails should be 1280×720px minimum.
Always export at 2× resolution for Retina displays (e.g. design at 1080×1080 but expect it to display at 540×540 on some devices). Use JPG for photos and PNG for graphics with transparency.
