💧 General rule: Always add thinner to paint, not paint to thinner. Mix in small increments. Test on a palette — the paint should flow like skim milk for airbrushing, slightly thicker for brush painting.
⚠️ Compatibility warning: Never use lacquer thinner on acrylic paints — it will dissolve them. Don't use enamel thinner directly on plastic — it can melt styrene. Use enamel thinner only as a wash over cured acrylic/lacquer base coats.
🔧 Airbrush PSI guide: Thin detail work: 8–12 PSI. Standard coating: 15–20 PSI. Base coating / priming: 20–30 PSI. Higher PSI requires more thinning to prevent tip-dry and splatter.
